Youthful Voices are Welcomed by Dickinson County Republicans

The Dickinson County Republican Committee welcomes young people who want to have a voice in political decisions that affect their futures. To that end, the Committee has adopted bylaws to allow sixteen and seventeen year olds the full rights and responsibilities of membership in the Committee, including the ability to vote on all issues brought before it.
Terry Testolin, Chairman of the Committee said, “Young people who are interested in the political process will have the opportunity to participate as citizens, learn Robert’s Rules of Order (parliamentary procedure) and come to realize the impact they can have as voting members of society. We welcome them to become Dickinson County Republicans!”
The Committee’s bylaws regarding membership state: “A…member is a resident, sixteen (16) or over, of Dickinson County who has paid their dues…” The dues are affordable for students between the ages of 16 and 22, and there is a Family membership rate as well.
Committee meetings are currently held on the second Thursday of each month at the Iron Mountain Senior Center, 700 Crystal Lake Blvd., Iron Mountain. The next meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., on the second Thursday of the month.
For those wishing to join the Dickinson County Republican Committee, membership forms are available by emailing dcrc1891@gmail.com, accessing the file in the group Dickinson County Michigan Republicans, on the website www.DickinsonGOPMI.org, or at each meeting.
